It always surprises me when I tell people that I’m getting ready for the spring One of A Kind show and their response is : “What? They have a spring show too?”
There has been a spring show since March of 1979. That’s 40 years already! Can you believe it?
If you’ve never been, you have to get it onto your calendar this year! The show runs from March 27th until March 31st at the Enercare Centre, at the CNE).
The spring show exhibits about half of the artists and makers that you see at Christmas time.
The aisles are wider and the booths are magnificent. Most of us exhibitors go all out with flowers in our booth and creations that are so colourful and vibrant you’d think we were all working together somewhere sunny and warm over the winter months. Maybe in a giant artists workshop in the Azores or something. I wish!
Most of us, just like you have been cocooning all winter and dreaming of sunny skies, birds singing their pretty songs and buds and bulbs transforming into blossoms on our trees and in our gardens.
We’ve also been working hard in our studios using the inspiration of warmer days to bring you new and fresh creations to admire.
This is what I love the most about the spring show. The vibe is super happy and we, the exhibitors are all really excited to show you our newest creations that we’ve worked so hard on over the long, cold winter.
Natasha and I will be waiting for you at our booth with big smiles and so many happy new colour combinations and styles for you to try on and have fun with. Remember to ditch the turtle neck and come see us with a nice bare open neck! Our julz will be all you need to get warmed up.
So here are a few important details about the show.
The dates are March 27th until March 31st.
The location is the Enercare Centre at the CNE.
Our booth number is F53
Wednesday March 27th – Transit Wednesday. Show your Presto card at the door and get 50% off of the admission price.
Thursday March 28th – Late Night Shopping. For one night only you can shop until 11pm. Enjoy a DJ, a drink from the bar and free parking between 5 -11pm.
