The Art of Small Business

I could not have asked for a better week!

You would think that after 11 days of the One Of A Kind Show and then heading into the Christmas rush I would be completely exhausted.

Well, I’m just not.  I feel really inspired and so grateful.
It started with our Open House last week and all of the visitors we had! Every person who walked through the door was happy and so much fun to work with.  I felt so fulfilled, having time to help accessorize, pick out gifts and catch up and have good quality visits with everyone.
Yesterday I was invited to participate in a small show, hosted by my friends Robin and Ange from BBJ.
The line up of creators were BBJ, Pip Robins, Yasmine Louis and Cinelli and Maillet.
We greeted customers, sipped on some wine and then discussed life as a full time artist.  All of us, sharing our experiences – the number of years working our craft and how we have grown and developed over the past 10-20 years.
Wow, I really needed that pow-wow.  It’s not very often I get to spend an entire day with women who have been at this as long as I have.  The confidence they all have was super inspiring.  They all agreed that their ideas and innovations were their best asset and this was the reason their businesses all had longevity.
I drove home last night really thinking about that.  As entrepreneurs we do need to continually re-invent ourselves and keep our customers excited about what’s coming next.
As business owners we have the power to shed our skin and create something new, something magical.
I’m so excited about 2019 and what will spark my creativity.
I’m really grateful to you for coming along for the ride.  It just wouldn’t be as meaningful without you.
