The Story

My friend Carolyn came to visit me because she wants to advocate for and help the caregivers of children with brain injuries.

Carolyn’s daughter Rachael endured a brain injury in 2017 and  Carolyn’s biggest fear is that her daughter will be forgotten by society.

Together, we designed a bracelet with a forget-me-not flower charm and beads in Rachael’s favourite colours.

Carolyn is donating the proceeds from the sales of these bracelets to the caregivers.  It will provide them with groceries, parking money, gift cards for restaurants and hotels whatever they need as they sit by the hospital bedside of their child and prepare for what is to come.

She will also be donating a small amount to Rachael’s roommate at Brampton Extendicare, who has no family to visit her.
When Rachael had her accident back in 2017, it was the kind gestures of people buying Carolyn the things she needed in everyday life to support her that really helped as she had to make decisions around a life change for her child that seemed unfathomable.
They will be shipped on or before April 12th with a card explaining the give back.  The perfect gift for Mother’s Day.

Carolyn is grateful every day to still have her daughter in her life.  As Carolyn always says, ” Rachael’s beautiful curls, her gorgeous smile and the way she looks at me, I’m the luckiest Mom in the world.”

This is the prettiest spring bracelet made with love and hope for children suffering from brain injuries and their caregivers.
