    Product Description

By 2002, my love for seed beads hadn’t faded in fact, it had deepened. I started to explore all the different shapes and finishes of Czech seed beads, and it opened up a whole new world of design for me.

Czech seed beads have a rich history they’ve been produced in the region of Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic) for hundreds of years, dating back to the 15th century. These beads were traditionally used in folk costumes and intricate embroidery, often passed down through generations. I was so inspired by their history how something so small could carry so much cultural meaning and artistic detail.

I wanted to honour that tradition, but make it my own. So I began stringing these uniquely shaped beads into new silhouettes mixing textures, finishes, and colours to create pieces that felt modern, playful, and bold. The results were lightweight, colourful necklaces and bracelets that could be worn every day or layered for a more styled look.

These pieces quickly became customer favourites at markets and shows affordable, unique, and full of personality.

Designed in 2002 using Czech glass seed beads in assorted shapes and finishes

    Lightweight and versatile.

A mix of vibrant colour and texture in every piece

Originally priced from $20 to $50 depending on style

This design reflects a time of experimentation, tradition, and joy. Each one is a little piece of glamjulz history, handmade with intention and heart.

I'm not high maintenance. A quick look in the mirror and I'm usually out the door, but almost all of my outfits are finished off with some glamjulz. I love that they're youthful, fashion-forward, and statement pieces. (Try to go anywhere wearing a ten-strand necklace without someone asking you where you got it!)  And on top of the designs and workmanship, the designer Monica will take the time to customize special pieces means so much to me as a client.
