Inspired by the Māori legend of how the paua (abalone) received its breathtaking colours, this collection is a celebration of the vibrant light we carry as women—and the strength we find in our “shells.”
The Legend
In the “Land of the Long White Cloud,” Aotearoa (New Zealand), it is told that Tangaroa, the god of the sea, once took pity on the plain and lonely Paua. To make him as beautiful as the other creatures, Tangaroa gifted him a palette of nature’s finest hues:

To protect this beauty from the world’s jealousy, Tangaroa gave the Paua a rugged, rock-like outer shell—allowing him to keep his brilliance safe until the moment it is ready to be revealed.
The Craftsmanship
Each necklace in this limited series is designed to tell this story of protection and light. Every piece is handcrafted with:

A focal iridescent pendant available in the colours of the legend (Ocean Blue, Forest Green, Dawn Violet, or Sunset Pink).

Natural Mother of Pearl, honouring the shimmer that binds the colours together.

The Meaning
This collection was born from a lifelong friendship with my “sister” Rosemary, whose New Zealand roots first brought this story to my heart. It is a tribute to the women who encourage us to show our true colours, yet stand by us as a protective shell when we need to retreat and find our strength.

No matter what outfit or event I am dressing for, my glamjulz make me feel 100% more glamorous and put together. When I wear a simple tank and jeans I add a little glamjulz and I feel that I look amazing and more sexy. They dress up any corporate dress and always go with your dress up attire. But I think girls may be misconstrued that they can't wear their glamjulz everyday. And you can.! I wear my new short magnetic necklace and long dangly earrings all the time. And my new "every other" day favorite... the one with the small cluster that you can wear short or long. I wear these with sundresses, shorts and tanks and jeans and going out tops. It completes my outfits. I also love how my glamjulz are so diverse. You can change up one necklace to go with or change the look of something by adjusting the length or density of the necklace. Sometimes I even throw on the one strand belt or necklace on as a bracelet. Monica and her team are amazing. They are there to help and take care of you what ever your needs. My mom lost one of her favorite earrings from glamjulz, I sent them a photo of the other one and they found me a replacement that I could surprise her with. Thanks Monica and glamjulz! You rock!!!
