Care for Canada Bracelet

What a summer it’s been!  One that has made me reflect on how truly blessed I am to have a wonderful safe place to live, run my business and be able to design and create whatever inspires me for wonderful people like you.

Unfortunately there are parts of our country where people and animals have experienced immense devastation from wildfires that have affected our home and native land.  Houses and forests have been burned to the ground, businesses lost and the fires are displacing many Indigenous communities, blanketing them in thick smoke and threatening important cultural activities like hunting, fishing and gathering native plants.

This creation is something special for all of us to wear in unity as we support the people who need it most.

There is a generous initiative where the Government of Canada and the Government of Nova Scotia will each match donations to the Canadian Red Cross Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada Fires Appeal. This means that $1 donated will become $3 to support those affected by the wildfires in Nova Scotia.

The same initiative is also available for the Northwest Territories where the Government of Canada and the Government of the Northwest Territories will each match donations to the United Way of the Northwest Territories, to support disaster relief and recovery efforts in affected communities. Once again this means that $1 donated will become $3 to support those affected by the wildfires.

These “Care for Canada” bracelets, handmade with gemstones, crystals and a shimmering rose gold maple leaf are created in the colours of our Canadian landscape.

With each bracelet sold we will donate $5 directly to each of these funds.

Our goal is to raise $500!!  I know that we can do it!!  One bracelet is $35!  We only need to sell 100 to reach our goal!
