During our Mother’s Day Open House, we were dreaming up a design that would truly celebrate the rugged magic of Canada. Moments after wishing for a connection to the earth, our long-time friend Jim walked through the studio door. He had just returned from an expedition to the rugged northern shores of Lake Superior with a treasure: hand-collected, raw, authentic Canadian Amethyst.

Out of his entire collection, we hand-selected exactly thirteen stones. Only 10 of these exclusive necklaces remain in the entire world. Because these are raw, natural stones shaped by the earth and waves, no two are alike. Each has its own unique spirit, natural fractures, and depth of purple.

The Design & The Magic

• The Colours of Twilight: To build the body of the necklace, we captured the feeling of standing on the edge of Lake Superior at dusk. High-quality glass and crystal beads in mossy greens, sun-drenched golds, crisp whites, and deep purples evoke the water, the sand, the pine trees, and the northern sky.

• The Flight of the Monarch: Resting perfectly “in flight” just above your heart is a delicate crystal butterfly. This details honours the Great Monarch Butterfly Migration. Every August, thousands of fragile monarchs gather along the shores of Lake Superior, waiting for the perfect thermal winds to take flight on a miraculous 4,000-kilometer journey.
