The Original glamjulz “Stacker” Choker – Vintage 1993
    Where it all began…

This is the very first design I ever made — way back in 1993. I had just discovered memory wire and Czech seed beads, and I was completely hooked. The colours, the shine, the way the memory wire moulded to any neck without a clasp — it just felt so easy and fun to wear.

We called them Stackers because no one could stop at just one. Women would layer them all the way up their necks, mixing colours and styles to match their vibe. From 1993 to 2000, these were everywhere. We sold them for $17.50 each or two for $30, and honestly… they flew off the table at every craft show.

I held onto a few from those early days — mostly for sentimental reasons. But with glamjulz turning 25 this year, it felt like the right time to bring them back out and share them again.

They’re simple, light, colourful, and still just as fun to wear as they were back then.

    Made with Czech seed beads

No clasp – memory wire fits any neck size

Original piece from the early 90s

I absolutely LOVE my julz!  You can't help but feel happier and extra special when wearing them, knowing that you are supporting a local artist and wearing something unique.  glamjulz are the perfect accessory for any event, from hanging with your BFFs to a formal occasion.  Monica's sense of style and colour is amazing.  She has encouraged me to try colour combinations that I would never have thought suited me, and has been right on every time.  If you have an idea for something, she can bring it to fruition.  She has designed several pieces for me, and I have been thrilled with the results.  One of the things I truly admire about Monica is her commitment to giving back to the community.  She does many fundraisers throughout the year, donating some of the proceeds from the sale of her work, as well as donating actual pieces to very deserving organizations, bringing them much needed funds and attention to their cause.
If you don't have any glamjulz, get some!  You won't be disappointed, and you'll be hooked for life!
