Are you ready? Natasha is taking us to her homeland! It’s time to take a walk through the vineyards and sip some of the best wines in the world. Hmmm . . . I wonder where she is taking us?
“Niagara is a place I’ve called home for over 40 years! From the gorgeous Niagara Escarpment to lovely Lake Ontario.
Every part of this beautiful peninsula makes me feel safe and secure.
I spent all of my childhood years in Grimsby and still call it “home”.
Now I’m blessed to be raising my beautiful daughter in Niagara on the Lake. Surrounded by lush vineyards and the Niagara River, I certainly always feel the urge to get outside and experience the day!!
The Niagara Region is my comfort place … now and always.
I was born in the same hospital where I was lucky enough to have my baby girl in.
My grandparents owned a large property on the Grimsby Mountain that is now a place where thousands go each year to visit and sightsee. The Beamers Point Conservation Area is a popular place to hike and bird watch. The falls are a romantic setting for any couple to sit by and just relax.
My parents still live in my family home and I always enjoy telling people where I live!!
I met my amazing husband here in wine country! Thomas is a hard working grape farmer. Watching the crops grow together over the season is so rewarding. The gorgeous purple tones of the Pinot Noir and Merlot make my mouth water! They go hand in hand with the pale green shades adorning the Riesling and Chardonnay vines. It’s a sheer colour explosion by the time we harvest.
Niagara brings me feelings of peace, security and adventure! Family adventures that I’ll never stop having! “
I love Natasha’s story of the Niagara region. I’m embarrassed to say that growing up in Oakville I had never even heard of Grimsby until 1986. Ha ha!
My Dad was a hobby wine maker and a darn good one. One of his favourite people to buy his juices from was Klaus Reif. After my Dad passed away Natasha and Thomas came into my life. One of their good friends is Klaus. I find so much comfort in this small connection.
I feel like the two of them knew my Dad just as well as all of my close friends did. Niagara connects us and keeps my Dad’s spirit alive.
My Dad would be smitten that Natasha decided to make her Niagara colour combination all about the harvest, the grapes and hard work of Ontario’s grape farmers to create these beautiful wines.
Cheers to Natasha, Thomas, my Dad and all of the people who chose “local” when making a quality wine selection.
The glamjulz Niagara collection is going to make you thirsty!
Monica XO
