I just had to let you know how proud I felt this week when our very own Eleanor McMahon was sworn in as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

Eleanor has such a heartfelt story that she shares about her passion for the position. We know this important job was meant for her.  Click HERE to read that story.

Thinking a lot this week about how lucky I was to have so many amazing teachers growing up.

From Kindergarten all the way to Grade 13, there were at least one or two who made my time spent at school especially enjoyable.

High school was a blast for me but also tough. (more…)

Driving home from work this week has brought back so many memories.

I’ve noticed lots of kids dressed up for their graduation celebrations.  They all look so proud and excited as their parents take photos of them on the front lawn.

It’s Sunday evening of the first long weekend.  Okay, please don’t cry there is still one day left to enjoy.

How long did it actually take you to wind down? 5 minutes? A whole day? Hasn’t happened yet?

It’s September 1984 and Grade 10 has begun! I’m over the awkwardness of Grade 9 and now I have found everything I was looking for. My favourite hairspray, the perfect amount of blonde painted into my long swooped bangs, friends that would remain my besties for years to come and music that would penetrate so deeply into my being it would just become a part of me.

Tonight is the first dance of the year and it still feels (more…)

Yipppeee my new website has been live for about a month now and being “out there” feels so very exciting.

Times are changing and shifting and I want to be in the wave of change, not swimming against the current.

At a glance the on line world can look quite threatening (more…)
