So here I am on an incredible adventure with 2 of my favourite travel buddies… Mom and Maggie!
Oh yes… Maggie is a sweet little Monster from our friends at Monster Factory in Toronto. We’ve got her all glammed up and ready for our road trip to the Florida Keys. We still have quite a ways to go to get to the Keys, so there will be a few stops on our way down.

Cruising through the Ontario snow and sleet, accompanied by my Mom as we giggle and sing along with the Elvis Station on XM Satellite radio, peddling my sparkly wares to the funkiest little shops and stopping in to say hi to friends and family… That’s how I spent the month of January.
Even though it’s freezing cold and a little dreary some days, the hope of Spring flowers blooming and birds singing again is what keeps me smiling. It’s such a pleasure to meet with so many of the beautiful boutiques that carry (and want to carry) glamjulz!

There’s a new feeling this month. A chance for change, to break old habits, an opportunity to start something new.
This is the excitement that a new year brings to many of us.
I would like to show my love and appreciation for this new time by acknowledging the many blessings I received in 2012. Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to start the new year with a bang and work hard to achieve our goals, then we end up feeling tired and hopeless as the months go on because these visions we have are not (more…)
Today I am writing about my Dad, because I want you all to know what a special man he is.
He has been on my mind every hour, every minute and every second of every day, because our family found out, in a very short period of time, that he has bone cancer.
In one short month we have watched our big strong hero go from barbequing steaks at the cottage to currently laying in a hospital bed, unable to get up or walk. As you can imagine, our whole family is in shock, and we are somehow keeping it together with showers of love and support from family and friends.
I am so grateful to all of the amazing doctors and nurses that have been caring for him and next week we are hoping that he will be in the good care of the Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital. How incredible that glamjulz has been passionate about raising money for this wonderful organization for the past 3 years, and now my dear Dad is in need of their help.
Is it naive of me to say that I NEVER thought cancer would touch our family? Yes, it probably is, but it’s the truth
My heart goes out to all of you that have experienced illness within your family. The strength that you find to get up every day and do what needs to be done while the well being of your loved one consumes your every thought, is a miracle in itself.
Gratitude, appreciation, love, and support is my full time occupation right now, while continuing to raise as much money for Juravinski as I possibly can through glamjulz..
This week when you put on your glamjulz maybe you can say a little prayer for Wolfgang Normann, the best father a girl could ask for.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Bright Run, held at the beautiful Dundas Valley Conservation Park. Lot’s of rain, lots of mud and lots and lots of people! We had a fantastic morning, all coming out for a great cause!
